Tim loves Country - which is just as well, because that's what he's playing on Trent! Tim is a veteran of the very early days of Radio Trent and started his broadcasting career there during its first year, 1975. He went on to broadcast on Xtra AM in Birmingham before returning to the East Midlands to join Gem AM.

Tim then presented the National Country Show on the Classic Gold Network, which included numerous broadcasts from Nashville’s WSM Radio, The General Jackson Showboat, The Country Music Hall Of Fame and The Grand Ole Opry. This was followed by Saga Country on Saga 106.6fm and, in February 2007, his show won the coveted CMA (Nashville) International Broadcasters Award for Outstanding Contributions To Country Music.
