Penny Phil's radio career started with forces radio in 1971, and since then he has worked as a mobile DJ, has held many of his own residencies throughout the UK, and hosted Miss Poole Beauty Contest (a dirty job but someone had to do it). He still smiles when he remembers the gig... Phil's also been involved with numerous trial stations throughout Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire, before bringing his rock show to Centre FM in Tamworth in the late 1990's. . More recently, he has broadcast on High Peak Radio, Ashbourne Radio, and Amber Sound in Ripley, but his passion for the Blues has brought him to Nottingham's Greatest Radio Station.
